Who leads MEAICON

Leo

Founder & CEO

Leo leads MEAICON with over two decades of experience building and operating digital infrastructure across the GCC, Africa, South Asia, and North America. He has overseen national-scale fibre backbone deployments, banking security operations centres, and sovereign cloud platforms — and brings the operational discipline from those engagements into every client conversation. His focus is on bridging the gap between high-level architectural vision and day-one operational readiness. By cultivating deep technical talent, he ensures that MEAICON remains agile in rapidly shifting regional markets. His principle is simple: we do not build what we cannot operate.

Chief Technology Officer

CTO

Our CTO sets the engineering standards that govern every market we operate in — from network architecture templates to data centre specifications to security operations runbooks. With deep experience across carrier-grade networking, cloud-native platforms, and cybersecurity architecture, the CTO ensures that a network designed in Dubai meets the same engineering bar as one designed in Nairobi. Beyond standard-setting, they oversee our R&D initiatives in edge computing and AI-driven infrastructure optimization. They believe that technology is only as robust as its documentation and automated deployment pipeline. This rigor guarantees consistency across our distributed operational footprint.

Head of Security

CISO

Our Head of Security leads the SOC, penetration testing practice, and security architecture function across all client engagements. With experience running banking security operations and government compliance programmes, the CISO ensures that security is designed into every architecture from the first drawing — not bolted on as an afterthought or a line item. They advocate for a 'security-first' culture where threat modelling is part of the development lifecycle, not just a periodic checkbox. This approach protects our clients against evolving regional threat vectors. Ultimately, the CISO's goal is to turn security from a constraint into a business enabler.

Head of Operations

NOC / SOC

Our Head of Operations runs the 24/7 NOC and SOC that monitor client infrastructure across eleven markets. The role ensures that monitoring dashboards, incident runbooks, patching schedules, and SLA reporting are operational from day one — and that when an alert fires at 3am, the engineer who picks it up has the context, the tools, and the authority to resolve it. They continuously refine our operational processes based on incident post-mortems, ensuring we learn from every anomaly. This dedication to operational excellence prevents small issues from scaling into major outages. Their focus is on high availability, rapid response, and constant improvement of the underlying systems.

Operating philosophy

Built by engineers, run by operators.

MEAICON's leadership has built and operated infrastructure across the region — from national fibre backbone projects to banking security operations centres. That operational experience shapes every decision we make.

We do not build what we cannot operate. We do not sell what we cannot support. And we do not commit to a delivery date unless our engineering team has signed off on it.

Leadership philosophy

How we lead

At MEAICON, we believe that leadership is an act of service, not command. We empower our engineers with the autonomy to make decisions at the edge of the network, ensuring rapid incident resolution and proactive infrastructure management. Our leaders are expected to remain technically current — reading architecture diagrams, reviewing incident post-mortems, and understanding the operational reality our clients face every day. We hold ourselves accountable to the same SLAs we commit to externally, and we measure leadership effectiveness by the reliability of the systems our teams build and operate.

Our second pillar is transparency through accountability. We maintain open standards where possible and treat every project as a partnership in digital sovereignty. By prioritizing knowledge transfer back to our clients, we ensure they are not just consumers of our infrastructure but owners of their own digital future. We prefer honest assessments over optimistic projections, documented decisions over verbal agreements, and measurable outcomes over aspirational narratives. This philosophy is why enterprises and governments across the region trust MEAICON with their most critical workloads.
